Format issues resolved

The third, and frankly massive, adventure that I wrote for the series has yet to see print. You can, however, find out more about it here.

Format issues resolved

Postby Chris » Fri Jul 18, 2008 4:34 am

Okay, so one of the pending problems with getting this produced is now gone - we no longer have an issue with the system that will reside within this project... as it can not be released with stats for LA. Sorry gang, but this will be released with the same "system" that the first two adventures: A Challenge of Arm's and The Ritual of the Golden Eyes contained.

Now to get it into print!

Sounds good. I will certainly want this item! I gather POD is not in the radar for this project?

Actually it is... but more on that later....

I have another hair-brained idea for how this will releaase, and that's all I want to say about that for now.

I know I'm looking forward to this one. I can't even count the number of years I've been waiting.

My sincerest apologies in that regard, but rest assured that it is WAAAYYY up on the list for new releases. I should have an announcement in this regard - an actual release date - following Gen Con.

...and thanks for your patience. :D

Okay - Gen Con production meeting has placed this project in the "into Layout by November 1st" bin... so probably not a release for Christmas 2008, but certainly by spring '09.

...and, we might just make '08 with the first release. BIG plans here for a presentation (format) that I believe all adventuring fans will find hard to resist.

PDFs are also planned.

Stay tuned... please.. :D

Welcome aboard Clinton! ...for the rest of you...

Ran into Clinton, Jeremy, and a couple of others playing LA at Gen con, and these guys are a hoot!

THEY got to play Hekanaptra... so eat your hearts out.

I've been waiting for this "Bad-Boy" since 2003/04? Well, ever since Chris ran it at GameFest Milwaukee. Had a chance to run through some of it at LGGC a couple of years ago. I think the generic game rules is the best way to go with it, follows the other two (Challenge, Golden Eyes).

Thanks, Chris!

Great, now I've got one more reason to be self-loathing.

Any chance you'll be submitting Hekanaptra to Portal, if Gygax Games doesn't want to publish it? :D

Or maybe let me convert it to HARP?

See lots of options guys!
Thanks

We could probably put HARP stats in it, if the license holder is amenable...

Cool! As I'm now in the "doing my homework" stage of writing my own game system, I picked up a copy of HARP. :D (and GURPS, and Rolemaster, and Heroes Unlimited, and...)

Forget you?

...and you are....?

KIDDING!!

Martin has done both LA art in some of our modules, and for Portals, and was the featured/main artist for Playin' In the Streets... for those wondering.
