Character Sheet! - rpg

Postby Chris » Wed Apr 29, 2009 5:39 pm

I can't figure out hoe to put free downloads up on this site, but you should be able to "right-click capture" the sheet here, and not having a freebie on the site is, IMO, a no-no.

Comments appreciated, and feel free to capture, copy and use this sheet at will.

I hope the resolution is ok - if not, holler.

So here is one thing you can do. Go into the board options and enable the ability to attach files. Then you can put it on the board to download instead of capturing the image.

I think you can limit it up groups, so you could leave it as admin only. Also, you might need to edit the extension types allowed for pdf.

while that all sounds great, I can't find anywhere that the system will allow me to permit attachments of any kind.

I'm sure its reasonably simple... but I am also sure that said aspect is not "drop down menu user friendly" because it doesn't come up as an option.

Sorry...

1. Go tot he administrator control panel
2. It should pull up the general tab. There is something that says board configuration. The first thing listed says "attachment settings" click on that.
3. It then gives you attachment options. Click the allow attachments.
4. Set a file size. You can leave it 0 for unlimited.
5. Click submit

If you need to allow pdf as file type that can be uploaded (you probably will)

1. Click the posting tab
2. You will see attachments on the left. Click Manage extension groups.
3. Find documents. Click on edit. I think it is this green cog.
4. Towards the bottom it will say allowed forums. For simplicity, just click all all forums.
5. Then click submit.

People should now be able to upload attachments.

Ok, so I got as far as #2. We have available under the board config tab:
Domain Name
Server Port
Script path
Site name

Site description
Disable board
Enable account activation
Enable Visual Confirmation
Allow automatic logins
Automatic login key expiry
User email via board
Flood Interval
Search Flood Interval
Allowed login attempts
Login lock time
Topics Per Page
Posts Per Page
Posts for Popular Threshold
Default Style
Override user style
Default Language
Date Format
Enable GZip Compression Yes No
Enable Forum Pruning

then

Max number of poll options
Allow HTML
Allowed HTML tags
Separate tags with commas
Allow BBCode
Allow Smilies
Smilies Storage Path
Allow Signatures
Maximum signature length
Allow Username changes

then

Enable gallery avatars
Enable remote avatars
Enable avatar uploading
Maximum Avatar File Size
Maximum Avatar Dimensions
Avatar Storage Path
Avatar Gallery Path

and thats it. There's nothing about attachment settings. That is also the only available option anywhere in the administrator listing that mentions configuration of any kind.
